Why Flintastics has become Wagsmore: The Story Behind Our New Name

For over a decade, our business has grown, changed and evolved in ways we could never have predicted. My brain has always had a constant need for growth and evolution, challenging myself to reach new goals, and sometimes getting a bit lost in it all. But throughout everything, one constant has remained: the dogs that have shaped who we are, what we do, and how we care for all the other dogs that join our little community.

This blog is written to tell you the story of why Flintastics has become Wagsmore, and how this new name carries our past, present and future forward.

Where Flintastics Began

Flintastics was never just a catchy name. It was a recognition our beautiful boy, Flint, who we sometimes knew as the Fantastic Mr Flint.

He inspired so much of our work, and shaped an understanding of dogs, behaviour, trust and compassion, whilst before him, Echo taught us how to slow down and understand the needs and psycology of having a reactive dog. the two of them taught us more than any course or qualification ever could. They changed the very way we think about dogs and how we should and do advocate for them.

When we created Flintastics, it felt perfect. After both echo and Flint passed, the name took on even deeper meaning. It was a reminder of him in everything we did.

but Why did We Choose to Change Our Name?

To those who knew Flint, or knew the story behind the name, Flintastics made absolute sense. But to someone coming to us for the first time, it raised questions.

"What is Flintastics?"

"is it the flintstones? "

"What does it even mean? "

"What do they actually do?"

W"here do dogs even fit into this name?"

We realised that while the name was deeply personal and close to our hearts, it didn’t communicate our identity to the wider world. It didn’t tell new clients what we offered or who we were, And that in turn didn’t reflect how we wanted to welcome people in.

We needed a name that instantly felt like a place, a community, a destination. A name that represented dogs, joy and belonging. A name that could grow with us.

so, after a lot of searching and sleepless nights, That’s where Wagsmore was born.

Introducing Wagsmore

Wagsmore feels like a place. Almost like a quaint english village or a little location on the map. It feels warm, friendly and dog-centred. It instantly says

'dogs live here, dogs belong here, and dogs come first here.'

And that’s exactly what we wanted.

Wagsmore gives us a clearer identity. It tells people what we do at a glance. It reflects the atmosphere we’ve built over the years and the direction we’re moving in.

But most importantly, it allows our story to continue while still holding onto everything that came before it.

Flintastics Isn’t Gone, It’s Still Our Heart

Flintastics hasn’t disappeared. It hasn’t been forgotten. It hasn’t been replaced.

Flintastics is still here, quietly beating in the background as our parent company. It’s the foundation of everything we’ve built and everything we will build. It will always be tied to Flint and Echo, to their lessons, their memories, and the reasons we started this journey in the first place.

Wagsmore is simply the new home that Flintastics has grown into.

We carry both echo and Flint with us every day. They’re in all the decisions we make, the care we give, the standards we hold and the dogs we welcome. They shaped us, and they always will.

Looking Ahead

This name change marks a fresh chapter for our little business. It opens the door to new ideas, new opportunities and new ways of supporting the dogs and owners around us.

There are exciting things ahead.

New ways to grow, new ways to help, new ways to bring the community together.

But at the centre of everything will always be the same thing: A love for dogs, driven by the dogs who taught us everything in the first place.
